Honey Beer Bread Ingredients:
All you need are 6 simple ingredients to make this honey beer bread recipe:
- All-purpose flour: This recipe is total comfort food for me, so I have only ever made it with all-purpose flour.
- Baking powder: To help the bread rise.
- Salt: I used fine sea salt.
- Honey: Which balances out the savory flavors here with the perfect hint of sweetness.
- Beer: I typically use an IPA, but just about any kind of favorite beer will work in this recipe!
- Butter: Which we will use to grease the pan and brush on top of the bread to give it some extra-delicious buttery flavor.

How To Make Beer Bread:
Alright, here are the basic steps for how to make beer bread — it couldn’t be easier!
- Make the batter. Super simple! Just stir together the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl, then stir in the beer and honey until combined.
- Add the butter. Pour about half of the melted butter into a 9×5-inch bread pan, and brush it all around to grease the inside of the pan. Add the batter and spread it out in an even layer. Then brush the remaining melted butter evenly on top of the batter.
- Bake. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, until a toothpick or knife inserted in the middle comes out clean. Remove and transfer the pan to a wire baking rack and let the bread cool for at least 10 minutes.
- Serve. Slice with a bread knife, serve warm and enjoy!

Notes
Honey: If your honey seems super-thick and does not drizzle easily, I recommend warming it up in the microwave or on the stovetop for a few seconds so that it will mix into the batter more easily.

DING DING! CHICKEN WING! Soda Licious!!!
i see that you use a ceramic loaf pan, but I your list of equipment you show a nonstick pan – which is actually better – ceramic, nonstick, or glass?
So easy to make and absolutely delicious!
EXCELLENT
So easy and delicious. I usually use a Sam Adams with cheddar, and rotate among, garlic, dill, rosemary, and chipotle. So mane flavor variations so you can please just about everyone. You can’t go wrong with this bread.
I,just made this bread. Used Kokanee beer. It is delicious”. Love that is so crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. Made it go with dinner, but it actually ended being dinner!!!
I made this bread but used sparkling water (from my Soda Stream) instead of beer. I have also made it in the past using de-alcoholized beer. For me, the bread turns out best using the sparkling water. However, I do also add a Tablespoon of baking powder. And I don’t use the butter. Thank you for the recipe.
One of the best beer breads Ive made. I added cheese and rosemary and it was excellent. I did need to bake on 350 for 60 minutes. The honey was a game changer. Others I have tried added suger and were too sweet. The butter one the bottom and top gave it a great crust.
About to make this . Has anyone split it into mini loaves? If so, what was the baking time?
Augh, I always have this problem where I always have a smooth crust on bread. I wanted it to be crispy like in the picture. I promise I did not over mix! Any tip?
